Alan Brown

Alan W. Brown is a professor of Digital Economy at the University of Exeter, Research Director at the Digital Policy Alliance, and an internationally recognized expert in digital transformation, AI, and data-driven decision making. With a unique ability to demystify complex technologies for business leaders, he supports organizations in developing digital strategies and leading agile transformations. Previously a Distinguished Engineer at IBM with nearly 20 years of experience in the US, Alan has led large-scale software programs, was part of a Silicon Valley tech startup, and developed enterprise strategies for global clients. He co-founded the Surrey Centre for the Digital Economy (CoDE) and directed major national research initiatives on digital transformation. His latest book is entitled "Surviving and Thriving in the Age of AI: A handbook for digital leaders" published by the London Publishing Partnership.
