Dr John Jeans is an NHS Consultant Anaesthetist and founder of the National CLEAR Programme, a nationally sponsored initiative delivered by 33n, of which he is CEO, and hosted by East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. CLEAR has supported over 75 transformation projects, combining clinical expertise, advanced analytics, and technology to redesign care pathways and workforce models across the NHS. He also leads the development of CLEARnotes, an NHS-compliant AI-powered Ambient Voice Technology that transforms clinical documentation. Already in use across multiple NHS sites, CLEARnotes is delivering 14–25% productivity gains, reducing administrative burden, improving clinician wellbeing, and supporting elective recovery. With frontline clinical experience and national leadership in AI adoption, Dr Jeans offers unique, practical insight into embedding safe, ethical, and scalable AI in healthcare.
