2025 began with a bang, with Jillian named in The Street’s top 50 Real Women Assets (RWAs), shortlisted for the Award of Best Mainstream Educator from the UK’s Digital Commonwealth Group, had a short story accepted into 21 Futures Financial Future Anthology and was named in The Street’s top 100 People in Crypto and Web3 Globally. And that was only in the first quarter.
In 2024 Jillian was elected to the position of Congresswoman of Liberland, a nation state near Croatia. In the same year she was voted one of the Unstoppable Woman globally by Unstoppable domains, listed in the top 6 Forbes Trailblazers of Tech, included in the Forbes Tech Council and winner of the silver prize in Ireland’s national CAOL radio awards for her radio show – Wishing Well.
Jillian joins again as a Judge in the Diversity in Tech Awards 2023, Ireland, a topic that is very dear to her heart. She was also listed as one of the Women in Crypto by Wirex UK.
In November 2022, Jillian was a finalist in the CryptoAM Inspiring Women in Blockchain in London, as well as been named as one of the top 100 Women of the Future, a title encapsulated in a large hardback book generated by Mission Impact.
Earlier in the year she was named in the top 35 women in crypto by Techround in May 2022, which was swiftly followed by being named one of the hot crypto women to follow by Benzinga in the same month.
In September 2021, Jillian Godsil was a finalist in the prestigious CryptoAM UK awards in the education section. In August, she was named as one of the UK’s Most Influential Women in Tech by Computer Weekly in 2021. Jillian Godsil is a tireless advocate for Women in Blockchain, eradication of homelessness and income equality.
On international Women’s Day 2021, Jillian was nominated one of 100 global women in leadership awards in COVID reflecting the 30 plus years her career spans across a global stage including Sydney, Singapore, Kiev, Austin, Muscat, Columbo, Dubai, Capetown, Liberland, Malta, Amsterdam, Vienna, Dublin, Toronto, Rome, and London
In June 2020 she was awarded Blockchain Journalist of the year by Uptrennds (then largest blockchain social platform). In 2019 she was nominated for the national Irish IMRO radio awards, made the top 100 Global Blockchain Leaders list by Lattice80 and was named AI and Blockchain Journalist of the Year at the CC Forum in London. In 2018 she was awarded the Order of Merit by the President of Liberland. She is a passionate advocate for blockchain, a seasoned professional in fintech and internationally recognised champion for equality – whether in homelessness, gender or the law.
She changed the law in Ireland in 2014 and is a former European Parliamentary candidate (as an independent).
She is a co-founder and editor in chief of Blockleaders.io. She is the author of more than 18 books. She is a freelance journalist for many publications including The Street, CoinDesk, CityAM, CoinTelegraph, CryptoSlate News, Hackernoon, The Irish Times and ITN.
