Terry Makewell

Terry is an accomplished digital and technology leader currently serving as the Director of Digital & Innovation at RNID (Royal National Institute for Deaf People). With a career spanning government, publishing, and education sectors, Terry has held senior roles including as a Government Chief Digital Officer, Government Chief Technology Officer, and NHS Non-Executive Director. Driven by a passion for inclusivity and social impact, Terry brings both professional expertise and personal experience to his role, being bilaterally deaf and living with Ménière’s disease. He is also a trustee at the Evelyn Glennie Foundation Trust where their mission is to 'Teach the Wold to Listen'.
