Yalena has over 20 years of experience delivering programmes on data and digital strategy and governance, software, IoT and product development, cyber security and digital twins, for clients in both public and private sectors.
At Buro Happold, she focuses on digital advisory services across buildings and cities including strategy, design, delivery and analytics. She takes a people first approach to innovation in the built environment recognising the value that diversity brings to this complex space.
Previous to joining Buro Happold, Yalena was director of Applied Data and Technology at the Connected Places Catapult - the UK’s innovation accelerator for cities and transport, focusing on digital transformation in the built environment, transport, utilities and infrastructure. Yalena has acted as a strategy adviser to the UK government and provided ongoing expertise to the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology via the College of Experts.
