As governments increasingly adopt AI to enhance public safety and crime prevention, important ethical challenges emerge, particularly around bias, data quality, and transparency. We will explore how predictive policing tools, if not carefully designed and regulated, can unintentionally reinforce systemic inequalities. We will highlight the vital importance of clean, representative data and responsible AI practices in developing fair, accountable, and trustworthy approaches to modern law enforcement.
