About this Talk
The Policy Atlas project aims to transform how policymakers engage with evidence by harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. Our goal is to advance evidence-based policy design through user-friendly, AI-powered tools that help navigate complex policy and research data, while also simulating the potential impacts of policy interventions.
We are developing a digital platform for policymakers and researchers to explore, synthesise, and interact with policy evidence. Alongside tool development, we are conducting user research and testing to identify the policymaking scenarios where AI-driven solutions can deliver the greatest value.
In this talk, we will share our vision for how AI can positively disrupt policymaking, detail our experiences in designing and testing an AI tool for policymakers, as well as share insights from user research into policymaker needs and pain points.
