About this Talk
My book called 'Psychology of AI Decision Making' is being launched in October throught BCS publishing and uses old and new empirical psychological experimentation to demonstrate how difficult it is to emulate or simulate AI decision making, dealing with AI's lack of context and emotional capability. This talk aims to discuss the challenges of sociocentril and individualistic differences, weaving in the concepts of deontology, utilitarianism, value ethics, nudge theory and the butterfly effect. Haight's analogy of the elephant and the rider will summarise how we as humans deal with these concepts, but more importantly, how do we (or should we) build AI systems to do this?
